Stramondo Professional is the trade range of Stramondo, a Sicilian producer of ingredients and semi-finished products for gelato and pastry. Gelato makers, pastry chefs and bars use its flavour pastes, fruit preparations, balanced bases and neutrals, ready-to-use Prontogel mixes, soft-serve and organic lines, plus mirror glazes, chocolate coatings, crumbles, toppings and premixes for granita and frozen cream. Many recipes are dairy-free, gluten-free or vegan. Founded in Catania in 1940 by pastry chef Pasquale Stramondo and now run by the family's third generation, the business has been based in Salemi, western Sicily, since 1986. Its 12,000 m² plant runs on self-produced renewable energy, and it exports to more than 50 countries.
